Reflow
City of Stockholm
Strategy, Creative Direction
A creative tool that brings circular cities to life—designed to inspire understanding and action.
As part of Stockholm’s pioneering work in Norra Djurgårdsstaden, the city developed a complex circular model to map the invisible flows of energy, water, and materials. While technically robust, the model was too complex for anyone but experts to grasp.
While at Futerra, Superworld’s Erik Rosin helped develop the communication concept Reflow together with the City of Stockholm and a team of Futerrans.
The result: an interactive, visual experience that simplified circular systems. Through storytelling, animation, and illustration, the platform made hidden flows visible—and circular thinking accessible to both decision-makers and schoolchildren.
Erik co-led the strategic and creative process, including concept development, naming, messaging, and visual direction. The final digital experience was developed by Knowit, based on our original concept and design sketches.
Reflow gained both national and international attention, and helped inspire continued work to integrate circular systems thinking into city planning.
